The wedding design balanced Villa Balbiano’s historic grandeur with a modern, highly curated aesthetic. Soft garden tones and white florals defined the ceremony, while warm candlelight and gold transformed the evening into something more dramatic. Planning, concept and design by Wow Wedding brought the vision together across Villa Balbiano with florals and décor by Lake Como Florist.
Every guest received a hand-painted porcelain charger plate finished with pure fine gold, featuring the couple’s initials, lily-of-the-valley flowers, and individually illustrated bees and butterflies. Real lily-of-the-valley blossoms were added to each plate before dinner, and every charger was carefully wrapped and gifted to its guest at departure.
The wedding day began with Lycoris and Dylan’s morning preparations at Passalacqua, where the couple spent the first part of the day before heading to Villa Balbiano for the celebration. Lycoris wore her Oscar De La Renta wedding gown as the soft, spring-inspired palette of the wedding came to life at the villa — delicate whites, blush tones, lush greenery, and lily of the valley set against the historic architecture and Lake Como landscape.

The ceremony at Villa Balbiano was designed as a garden after rain, with a real pond surrounded by floral oases, a winding aisle, and mirrored “puddles” reflecting the flowers above them. Soft blooms and lush greenery created an immersive landscape that felt both natural and highly sculptural.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and gelato while the couple left for portraits. Behind the scenes, the entire setting was transformed into the evening reception in just one hour — wave-shaped tables, linens, heaters, chandeliers, lighting, sound, flowers, candles, tableware, and personalised menus were all installed before the guests returned.
Dinner by the lake was only the beginning. As the evening descended over Villa Balbiano, the atmosphere moved from an elegant lakeside dinner into music, live performances, fire by the water, and a growing sense of celebration. The night kept unfolding, with each moment bringing something new before spectacular fireworks finally illuminated the sky above Lake Como.
The evening felt theatrical without losing the effortless charm of an Italian summer night — a celebration designed not simply to be beautiful, but to keep guests completely immersed in the experience. Lycoris ended the night in a striking Clio Peppiatt after-party look, following her Dior dinner dress and Chanel fireworks look.
The wedding weekend began at Passalacqua, where Lycoris and Dylan started the day with portraits and a vintage-car moment against the hotel’s timeless Lake Como setting. She wore her Helsa shirt dress for the first part of the day before continuing to Villa Sola Cabiati for the welcome dinner, where she changed into Stephane Rolland.
At Villa Sola Cabiati, the evening unfolded in rich burgundy tones, vintage-inspired styling, and the warm atmosphere of an Italian villa. Guests were invited to an interactive wine-tasting experience, exploring different aromas and trying to identify the wines — a playful touch that brought everyone together before the wedding day at Villa Balbiano.
