The celebration moved from a burgundy-toned welcome dinner and interactive wine tasting to a lush garden ceremony at Villa Balbiano, followed by a lakeside reception filled with music, performances, fire, and spectacular fireworks — creating a destination wedding that felt elegant, immersive, and deeply rooted in the beauty of Lake Como.

This wedding at Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées & SPA was defined by its lakeside setting, Belle Époque architecture, and a composed palette of sage green and white florals. Set along the shores of Lake Maggiore, the celebration balanced classical Italian grandeur with a clean, contemporary sensibility. An outdoor ceremony by the water, live musicians, a boat photoshoot on the lake, and a reception beneath chandeliers shaped a day that felt cohesive, thoughtful, and distinctly rooted in place.
